Meetings
In an effort to organize for the 2022-2023 contract year, AFAC will host committee meetings once a month on a designated day from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.* Meetings may also be held at the Guild office at 3356 Barham Blvd. Los Angeles, CA. 90068. Based on the May 2022 meeting, AFAC is going live and plans to travel to college campuses during the 2022-2023 Academic year.

Since March 2022, AFT 1521 has hosted 48 Student Debt Clinics with over 700 members in attendance. During one-on-one follow-up sessions, we were finding more Adjunct Faculty that were experiencing challenges with their employment certification form for PSLF. Adjunct Faculty Issues Committee (AFIC) Campus Representatives work collectively with Adjunct faculty from our nine colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District. AFT Chapter Presidents appoint AFIC leaders and will not serve as AFIC Campus Representatives. AFIC Representatives identify professional issues and concerns of Adjunct Faculty.

containing the names, qualifications and desired position(s) of potential California Community College (CCC) faculty, support staff and management job applicants. The database is utilized by the 72 CCC Human Resources offices, representing the 109 California Community Colleges.
